Ride for Life Challenge

Join Marc and Nello on a Century Training Ride
Sunday, May 18th

Marc and Nello's "Ride for Life Challenge" is set to take place on Sunday May 18th, starting from the Topsham Quay at 9 am, rain or shine. This group ride will follow our North Devon Horseshoe route and cover 100 miles, starting from Topsham then following the Exe Valley through Tiverton, and from Dulverton up to the roof of Exmoor, before returning via Simonsbath, South Moulton and Crediton. It is a glorious horseshoe ride, with easy stretches from Topsham to Dulverton (34 miles) and from South Moulton back to Topsham (38 miles), but with a tough but rewarding 26 mile stretch that climbs and goes across the highest parts of Exmoor.
Some participants will be riding in teams, breaking up the ride in relay stretches. Others plan to complete half the distance. Others, particularly keen cyclists who are in training and in good shape, will accompany Marc and Nello on the whole route. However much distance is covered, all are invited to a hearty pasta meal in the evening, either at Nello's Ristorante or, weather permitting, outdoors in Marc's garden on the Exe estuary.
We'd like riders and participants to get sponsorship money for the Ride for Life fund, or contribute to the day's support and the evening festivities. We also need helpers on the day and evening. If you would like to participate or help in any way, please contact Marc as soon as possible by phone (01392-873778) or email mmillon@mail.zynet.co.uk.
Many thanks and looking forward to seeing you!
