31/3/97 Topsham's First Italian Easter Festival a Huge Success The hottest Easter Monday in a decade plus the enticing smells of great Italian and American food attracted more than 200 revellers to Marc and Nello's Festa di Pasqua, or Easter Festival on the Topsham Recreation Ground.

25/4/97 Ride for Life Challenge from Topsham to Exmoor and Back set for May 18th Join Marc and Nello on a tough century training ride from Topsham across the roof of Exmoor and back, raise funds through sponsorship, and join them in a pasta blow-out in the evening.

15/5/97 Midlands Gourmet Evening at Loyds Restaurant A gourmet evening at Loyds Restaurant, Knowle, is a great success, netting the Ride for Life Fund more than £2700!

27/5/97 STOP PRESS: New Departure Date set for June 11th Nello's and Marc's Ride for Life cycle from Topsham, Devon to Venice, Italy is set to depart at 9 am on June 11th from the Topsham town quay.

Venetian Scenes by Lorina Kim

This award-winning collection of short stories written by Marc's mother, who died last year after a long fight against cancer, is being published by Quay Press, Topsham in a special limited edition and will be launched as part of the Ride for Life series of activities. Broadly autobiographical and based on Lori¹s experiences of the time she lived in Venice, the stories are at once entertaining and moving. The book will attract media attention to the Ride both in the UK and in America. Publication Spring 1997

The Ride for Life Cookbook by Nello Ghezzo and Marc Millon

Travelling through France and Northern Italy by cycle will definitely work up a prodigious appetite, and Nello and Marc plan to keep hunger (and the cyclist's dreaded "bonk") at bay by cooking regional foods along the way. This book, written in a diary form, will relate the adventures (and misadventures) of the Ride, as well as include recipes of chef Nello¹s regional interpretations together with wine suggestions by Marc. Publication Autumn 1997
